I know. I've been gone forever. This is why, I've been working on this video for quite a while. This is my very first time making a makeup video, so try to keep that in mind as you watch! This is part one of a new color series I'm starting, the next one will be orange

You know how these work by now, so I'm just going to get into it.
Starting with face products:
I got the Lumene BB cream. I got this from CVS, and it was $15, which I consider expensive for a drugstore product. This, unfortunately, did not work out for me. I got the lightest shade available and it is way too dark for me.
This is the Hourglass N° 28 Primer Serum. I had a sample of this and I really really liked it, so I decided to get this. This is the smaller sized one, it was $22, while the larger one is $65.
Maybelline was 40% off at Walgreens, so I obviously had to take advantage. So, I got this Master Glaze blush stick in Coral Sheen. I really really like it so far.
Another Maybelline product, I got 2 Fit Me foundation sticks. I got these for highlighting and contouring. The shades are 110 and 330. Unfortunately, the lighter one isn't light enough to use for a highlight. The darker one does work very well for contouring though.
I got the Hourglass Ambient Lighting powder in Ethereal Light. This I'm not too sure about yet. I haven't used it, so I'm not sure I'm keeping it yet.
I got this Smashbox Fusion Soft Lights in Baked Stardust. I love this! It is a very pretty, subtle pinky highlight
Here's some swatches of all the face products, on the left is the Lumene BB cream, then the Maybelline blush, the 2 foundations, the Hourglass powder, then the Smashbox highlight.
Onto eye product, I got the Jordana 12 Hour Made to Last liquid eyeliner pencil in Aqua Stone.
This was a gift from my aunt, it's the Tarte Skinny SmolderEYES in Sunstone Bronze. It is really really pretty, I love using this on light makeup days!
This is the new Rimmel Scandaleyes liquid eyeshadow. I got the shade Rich Russet. I haven't tested this too much yet, but I really like the color.
Boring, this is just the Milani clear brow gel
This is the Maybelline Great Lash in the limited edition color So Very Berry.
On the left is the mascara, then the Rimmel liquid eyeshadow, Tarte liner, then the Jordana liner.
I got 3 of the new Milani Bella Eyes gel powder eyeshadows. These are.. nice. They're nice shadows, but I don't think they live up to the hype. They tend to blend away, rather than blending seamlessly. The shades I got (from left to right) are Bella Khaki, Bella Rouge, and Bella Pink.
This is Wet n Wild Nutty eyeshadow. How did I not already have this, knowing my love of WnW?! I love it.
I got 3 MAC eyeshadow pans in (from left to right) Satin Taupe, All That Glitters, and Twinks.
First are the 3 MAC eyeshadows, then the 3 Milani eyeshadows, and last the WnW eyeshadow.
Onto lips, I got the Maybelline Baby Lips in Quenched. This smells like Fruit Loops. Like, straight up. It smells amazing.
This is the Milani lipstick in Nude Creme. I didn't think it would work out at first swatch, but I really like it on the lips. The formula reminds me a lot of the Rimmel Kate lasting finish lipsticks.
Maybelline Color Elixer in Breathtaking Apricot. I definitely understand all the hype around these. These smell so nice and they feel really good on the lips, The feel almost.. cushiony. If you've tried them you know what I mean. I love it! Definitely going to purchase more.

Today I have a tag post! I've been seeing this tag around heaps lately, so I thought I'd go for it. The questions are:
1. Favorite balm/treatment?
2. Best eye-catching red?
3. Best luxury & best drugstore?
4. Best MAC lipstick?
5. The most disappointing?
6. Liner - yes or no?
7. Best gloss?
8. Something extra!
So first question!
Favorite balm/treatment?
My absolute favorite lip balm is Lypsyl lip balm. It is really nice and moisturizing and it has a really nice minty tingle. If I want a balm with some color in it, I love the elf lip balm tints. This one is in Nude:
I know what you're thinking. A nude lip balm. From elf nonetheless. That isn't going to show up at all!
My favorite lipglosses are the BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie lipglosses and the Buxom full-on lip creams.

BAM. One swipe. One.
These elf lip balms are so nice! They're surprisingly pigmented for what they are, and they smell so so good!
Question 2:
Best eye-catching red?
These. Are so beautiful. These are the Bite Beauty high pigment pencil in Pomegranate. Um, could this be any more perfect? The actual pencil is incredibly soft and smooooooth. And that bright red! The other one is the Wet n Wild Megalast lipstick in Cherry Bomb. This is one of my favorite lipsticks of all time. It is such a gorgeous, really deep lipstick. I LOVE this in the fall (although I wear it whenever I feel like it, no matter the season)
Do you see these swatches?! Gorgeous.
Question 3:
Best luxury & best drugstore?
Well. I don't really have any really "luxury" lipsticks. The closest I have is this Smashbox lipstick in Nylon Nude. It's okay. I really like the formula, but I'm not so fond of the color, it's a bit brown for my skin.
The best drugstore lipsticks in my opinion are the Maybelline ColorSensational lipsticks. I really like the way these smell, and they have some really pretty and unique shades within the line. These are my 2 favorites:
These are Vivid Rose, and the other, I'm not even going to tell you the name because it was limited edition :p
Question 4:
Best MAC lipstick?
For this one, I decided to chose my favorite finishes from MAC, because it's hard to pick one color, I mean I like different colors for different reasons. Anyways:
My number one favorite finish is Amplified, My other favorites are Cremesheen and Matte.
Amplified, Cremesheen, and Matte
Question 5:
The most disappointing?
This Benefit lipstick. It looks like this gorgeous, deep plummy berry shade in the tube! But it goes on sheer sheer sheer and just.. chunky.
Ugh. Just.. just look at the swatch. No.
Question 6:
Liner - yes or no?
Sometimes. My favorites are the NYX retractable lip liners and the Jordana easyliner for lips.
Question 7:
Best gloss?
My favorite lipglosses are the BareMinerals Marvelous Moxie lipglosses and the Buxom full-on lip creams.
(from left to right) Marvelous Moxies in Smooth Talker and Maverick, lip cream in Creamsicle
Number 8:
Something extra!
For my something extra I decided to talk about my favorite liquid lipsticks
My favorites are the NYX Soft Matte lip creams, the Too Faced Melted liquid lipsticks, and the OCC lip tars.
(from left to right) NYX Istanbul, Sydney, and Transylvania. Melted Peony, and OCC Pretty Boy

In the area I moved to, there's an Inglot counter! I obviously had to go in and pick up some colors, but I was a bit overwhelmed. So, I decided to make this guide to shopping smart at makeup counters.
You walk up to the counter, and you're greeted with endless rows of eyeshadows, blushes, liner, foundation, everything you could ever want. The sales person asks "can I help you find something?" and you don't even know where to start! Why did you even come here in the first place? What was it you wanted?
The first thing you need to do; have a list or some specific things in mind you want to get. I made this trip for eyeshadows specifically. Whatever it is you want to get, have it written down.
When choosing shades, think about the shades you use most or colors that are missing from your collection. I was first drawn to all the bright blues and pinks, but I reined myself in and went for colors I know I use. I'll go through the shades I chose and explain why I chose those colors.
When picking my shades, I tried to keep in mind how I do my eye makeup.
So, this first shade, which is Inglot # 360, I picked out as my transition color. This color, when swatched out, turns much darker on my skin, so I don't know that I would pick this one again, but it does the job.
Next, I chose Inglot # 423, I chose as my lid color. This shade really stood out to me because it has these beautiful purpley undertones to it. In the photo, it looks really similar to # 360, but they really aren't.
This one is Inglot # 329. The color showing is very off, it is much deeper as you can see in the photo of the whole palette. But I got this as my defining color, to use in my outer v and crease. With this color, I could even use it in my brows because it is matte.
This is Inglot # 605. This one, I got because I saw it as a gap in my collection. I was looking at it and how absolutely beautiful it is and I just had to have it. It is a gorgeous orangey rust pearl.
This is Inglot # 314. This is another look I thought was a gap in my collection. I love this one so much, it's so unique and gorgeous. Usually with colors like this, they aren't as pigmented as I'd like, but this is so pigmented.
