Blue Paradise Nail Tutorial

So as I said in my last post, todays post is a nail tutorial on this nail look:

I'd just like to note that the 2 pictures of completed nails and the one nail I'm using to show you guys how to do it are from different times! I wanted to do a tutorial on these nails because this photo got around 130 likes on Beautylish (click the Beautylish tab above) so I thought I'd show you guys how I achieved them, however I'm not usually one to repeat nail art. I like to do a different color or design every time.
So that's all I have to say about that, let's just get into it.
Here are the colors I used:

These are Essie Mint Candy Apple and Sinful Colors Nail Junkie. This will be a pretty simple nail tutorial, basically anyone can do it.

I first painted my nails with 2 coats of Mint Candy Apple 

(Excuse my cuticles)

I then put a big "glob" of Nail Junkie on the tip of my nail, like a french tip

I remove most of the polish from the brush on the edge of the bottle and spread the Nail Junkie toward the top of my nail

I then pour a drop of Mint Candy Apple out on a paper plate and dip an eyeshadow spongetip applicator and blend the Nail Junkie in with the Mint Candy Apple by sponging it on the top edges

I added a bit more Nail Junkie to the tip of my nail, blending it with the polish brush and cleaned up the edges with nail polish remover and a q-tip.
